Tue, 18 Nov 2008 22:38:01 PST- The Warriors, who are 5-5, need to beat Idaho on Saturday in Honolulu to stay on track for a berth in the Hawaii Football Bowl.
They had last week off to prepare for the stretch run—which includes home games against Washington State and Cincinnati. They need two wins to become bowl-eligible.
"We had a tough game with them (in Moscow) last year," Hawaii Football coach Greg McMackin said of Idaho. "They're a very dangerous team."
Hawaii Football has won four of its past six games, with losses to Boise State and Utah State. They have beaten Fresno State, Louisiana Tech and Nevada—three teams that appear bowl-bound.
The Warriors are 3-1 at home.
Sat, 08 Nov 2008 23:42:07 PST-Ryan Mouton intercepted a pass by Chase Holbrook and ran for a 91-yard touchdown that gave a 13-point advantage in the second quarter to Hawaii, which beat New Mexico State 42-30 Saturday. The defeat marked NMSU's fourth consecutive conference loss. Hawaii Football (5-5, 4-3 Western Athletic Conference) neutralized early offensive attacks by NMSU (3-6, 1-4 WAC).
